The GTO's topcoat was metallic blue, then red, then blue and finally the original white! I know because I took every layer off by chemical stripping! The body was solid in the floor and trunk pans and had the usual rust on the lower front fenders and little rust around the wheel wells. POR 15 and PPG sealant was used to protect the metal and under-carriage.
