On September 29, 2007 I started by pulling the motor that has been sitting in the cradle for 30 years. Brought back many memories of me building it back in ’77. I always wanted to build a motor and did not have a clue at that time. I started by purchasing a Pontiac manual, started reading and asking questions. Before you know it it’s done and running. Well, got the motor out and saw the mess. Wondered what the heck I was getting myself into. The top picture shows it as the motor was just removed. The lower picture shows it after I power washed the compartment. I looks like someone painted it silver at one time. Then it was painted back to black.
